Q: Can I have more than one account for submitting videos to the program? A: We understand that you may want to have separate accounts for different types of content, but multiple accounts can lead to accusations of fraud and ‘gaming’ the system, so please be careful. Also, you may not be able to register twice to receive payments to the same address from two different accounts. Finally, each account has to accumulate $100 across all videos in that account to get paid out. If you have multiple accounts, each of those accounts will be aggregated separately. Q: When will I receive my payment? A: Once you send us the contract, we’ll send you a link to payment options. Then, your videos must earn at least $100 combined to generate a payment; otherwise, the amount due will be carried over to the next month. Payments are transferred at the beginning of every month. Note: Due to bank policies, you might not receive payment until the 15th of each month. Q: I didn’t receive any payment from Max Media TV this month, what should I do? A: We don’t make individual payments of less than $100, so the most likely reason you didn’t get paid is that your videos didn’t accumulate $100 since your last payment. Our recommendation is to make and submit more videos! We love your videos and want more. Having more videos in Producer Rewards means more views and ultimately more money for you. Don’t worry, any money you’ve earned will roll over to the next month, and you’ll be paid when your account has accumulated $100. Q: What about taxes? A: Taxes are your responsibility. U.S. residents must fill out the W-9 tax form that comes with your producer contract when you join the program. If you’re not a U.S. resident, you must declare this fact on the contract. Q: I’m under 18. Can I still make money on Max Media TV? A: If you’re old enough to hold a camera and make videos, you’re old enough to earn at Max Media TV. You may require an adult to register for payment. My Channel
Edit profile - Background & Appearance Once you are in your Max Media TV account home page, click on the "My Account" link on the top right and then click on the option "Profile Data". Here you can fill in the fields provided or choose from one of the options given. Be sure to click "Update" when you're done. How do I add a video to My Favorites? Once you are viewing a particular video, click on “Add to Favorites” below the video. This will add the particular video you are watching to your favorite videos. To view you favorite videos, go to “My Channel” and they will appear in a section under the videos you have uploaded. How do I subscribe to a Channel? You can very easily subscribe to a Channel by clicking on “subscribe” on the left side of the video you are watching. Video availability While uploading a video, you can check one of the following boxes “Everyone” “My Subscribers Only” My Friends Only” “My Friends And Subscribers Only” and make your video only available to who you want. What is "My Channel"? My Channel is a your own individual Channel on Max Media TV, in which you can have your own individual customized profile, Other users can view your Pictures, Videos, Favorites, subscribers, Subscriptions, send messages, instant messages, comments, subscribe to your Channel and also check if you are online or offline or in the chat room. How do I accept a friend request? To connect to your friend, click on the link in the invite email. There you will have an option to either approve or reject your friend's invite. Alternatively, go to the "Friends" and then "My Friends" section of you’re my Channel page. You will be able to view your pending friend requests, and either approve or reject them. Once you approve the request, your friend will appear on your friends list. How do I add friends and grow my friends network? There are many ways to add friends on Max Media TV Here are some suggestions: - You can Invite your friends to join Max Media TV by going to "Friends" and "Invite Friends". Enter their email address and click on Invite. Once your friends join, they will be automatically linked to you. - If you are browsing around and find a friend's profile, select the "Add as a Friend" option on the left of the friend's profile page. - You can find friends that are not in your network by going to "Browse" and using the search options provided on this page. How do I remove a friend? When you delete a friend, his name will disappear automatically from your list of friends and your name from his unless you are connected through another mutual friend. You can remove a friend easily, but remember that your network size will decrease. Here's how you remove a friend: Go to the "My Friends" section of you’re my Channel page. You will see a "Delete" link below each photo. Click "Delete" under the photo of the friend you want to remove and your friend will be removed from your friends list. When do I add someone as a Friend or a Favorite? If you know this person well, then request to 'Add as a Friend' otherwise save them in your 'Favorites'. When you add as a friend they have to approve it, then you will be friends with each other. Remember once you are friends then your friends' network is open to them and their friends' network is open to you. Adding to 'Favorites' is a just a quick way to get to someone's profile later and then build a relationship. After you know them and they you, you can then choose to become friends. Pictures
How can I delete a Picture Comment I gave my friend? Once you've commented on your friend's picture, and after it has been accepted, it will remain in your friend's gallery till they delete it. You will have to request your friend to remove the Picture Comment. How do I change my primary picture? To change the picture that appears on your profile, click on the "My Account". Go Down to “Profile Data”, click Browse, then Find the picture you want to show up on your profile, and click open then “Update”. How do I upload a picture? To upload a picture, click on the "Upload Pictures" link beside your account picture on your home page and select 'Browse'. Select the photo you would like to upload and click 'Upload'. Any content used for or pictures posted by you in your member profile may NOT contain nudity, violence, sexually explicit, or offensive subject matter. You may NOT post a picture of another person without that person's permission. Make sure to review our Terms and Conditions Agreement in its entirety before you upload any picture to your account. How do I view Comments posted on my pictures? Once your friends have posted comments on your picture, and you approve them, you can view them by clicking on the tab "My Channel". Click on the tab "Comments". All the comments your friends have posted on different pictures will appear against those pictures. How to add comments to photos You can add a Comment to a friend's picture by going to their profile page and clicking on the option "View all Pictures" below their profile picture. Browse to the picture you wish to comment on and click the link "Add a Comment" below the picture. Once you have entered your comment, click "post". This will then have to be approved or rejected by the member. Once it is approved, it will appear on their profile page. Privacy Settings
How do I block someone? You can block unwanted contact from a member by clicking on that member's profile and selecting 'Block User' link under the member's Profile Photo. Once you've blocked a member he won't be able to send you messages, friend requests, or comments, but he will still be able to view your profile. How do I unblock someone? To manage the list of blocked users go to "My Account" link at the top right corner of your Max Media TV page. The "Blocked Users" link is available under "My Privacy Settings". Select "Unblock" against the member you wish to unblock. How do I hide my age and/or location on my profile? After logging in to your Max Media TV account, you can hide your age by clicking on the link "My Account" link on the top right of the home page. Go to the "Basic" tab and check the box marked "Hide Age?" against the "Birthdate" option, and your age will not be displayed on your profile. After logging in to your Max Media TV account, you can hide your location by clicking on the link "My Account" link under your picture. Check the option "Yes" against "Do you want your location to be hidden?" and your location will not be displayed on your profile. How do I change my email address or password? To change your email address or password: 1) Log in to your Max Media TV account with your email address and password. You should reach the "Home" page after logging in. 2) Click on the link "My Account" at the top right corner of your page. 3) You will have the option to change your email address or password on the page that appears. 4) Be sure to select "update" when you're done. What are my Privacy Settings? You can specify who can communicate with you through different features such as instant messenger on the Max Media TV site. To manage your privacy settings, please click on "My Account" at the top right of your home page. You can choose privacy settings for each feature that we offer by selecting the appropriate option next to it. Please click on 'Update' when you're done. Miscellaneous What happens if I find something offensive? Please report the issue with us right away by clicking "Flag as Inapproppriate " against the offensive content. I never received my confirmation email. What happened? If you have just joined Max Media TV, the confirmation link is included in the "Welcome" email you received after signing up. If you don't receive the welcome or email when you expect to, check in your email client's spam folder—some are more aggressive than others about identifying spam. If you still haven't received it after several hours, you can try registering your email again with a different email address.
